Towards a Marxian Concept of Social Space.Illia Viktorovych Ilin - 2022 - Eidos: Revista de Filosofía de la Universidad Del Norte 37:44-70.
ABSTRACT This article aims to construct Karl Marx's concept of social space by examining a few fragments of his works with relevant terminology (space, spatial). The main result of this interpretation is the definition of social space as a suprasensible form of division between necessary labour and surplus labour, which due to private property on all means of production creates the appearance of the absence of exploitation. While in slave-holding mode of production slave is socially naturalized labour instrument, thus the (...)

Ethical implications of text generation in the age of artificial intelligence.Laura Illia, Elanor Colleoni & Stelios Zyglidopoulos - 2022 - Business Ethics, the Environment and Responsibility 32 (1):201-210.
We are at a turning point in the debate on the ethics of Artificial Intelligence (AI) because we are witnessing the rise of general-purpose AI text agents such as GPT-3 that can generate large-scale highly refined content that appears to have been written by a human. Yet, a discussion on the ethical issues related to the blurring of the roles between humans and machines in the production of content in the business arena is lacking. In this conceptual paper, drawing on (...)

Exploring Corporations’ Dialogue About CSR in the Digital Era.Laura Illia, Stefania Romenti, Belén Rodríguez-Cánovas, Grazia Murtarelli & Craig E. Carroll - 2017 - Journal of Business Ethics 146 (1):39-58.
In this paper, we examined how companies are employing new media to engage in dialogue with their stakeholders about corporate social responsibility -related matters. Through a qualitative theory-building study conducted in three stages over a period of 2 years, we discovered that corporations with reputations for CSR have built virtual spaces for dialogue about CSR, but that these spaces remain empty of dialogue. Our theory-building model highlights how the mix of four dialogue processes may allow companies to create open dialogue (...)

The existence of the narrative about the "petrified woman" and the "sacrilegious dancer" on the territory of Belarus and its borders.Illia Stanislavovich Butov - 2021 - Kant 38 (1):88-94.
Information is given about the narratives about the "petrified woman" and the "sacrilegious dancer" that have firmly penetrated into modern religious reality. The story under consideration in a more or less developed form first appears as a rumor in the late 1880s of the IXX century, then reappears in 1895-1896, 1919, and is updated with a new force in the late 1950s in connection with a resonant story from the Kuibyshev region about Zoya's standing (Stone Zoya). Oral and written forms (...)

The author draws attention to gnoseologically not enough investigated phenomenon of automorphism thinking. In the widely known works of F. Varela, and U. Maturana automorphism is associated mainly with the study of the adaptation of biological organisms. It appears, however, that the possibilities of this approach are more significant. The author believes that the driving force of thinking activity is the constructive combination. Cognitive morphogenesis processes as a free combination of symbolic forms, managed by rules of mental experimentation over one’s (...)

A hybrid genetic algorithm, list-based simulated annealing algorithm, and different heuristic algorithms for travelling salesman problem.Vladimir Ilin, Dragan Simić, Svetislav D. Simić, Svetlana Simić, Nenad Saulić & José Luis Calvo-Rolle - 2023 - Logic Journal of the IGPL 31 (4):602-617.
The travelling salesman problem (TSP) belongs to the class of NP-hard problems, in which an optimal solution to the problem cannot be obtained within a reasonable computational time for large-sized problems. To address TSP, we propose a hybrid algorithm, called GA-TCTIA-LBSA, in which a genetic algorithm (GA), tour construction and tour improvement algorithms (TCTIAs) and a list-based simulated annealing (LBSA) algorithm are used. The TCTIAs are introduced to generate a first population, and after that, a search is continued with the (...)

The "Übermensch" project as a form and mode of secularized ethics.Vitaliy Viktorovych Mudrakov - 2018 - Ukrainian Religious Studies 84:50-58.
The study contains the interpretation of F. Nietzsche's concept “Übermensch” as a program of modern human’s orientation within conditions of secularization. The “Übermensch” is presented as a form and a mode of secularized ethics. Such interpretation gave the methodological instruments to describe the main features of contemporary ideological and world view tendencies and their changes character, including such processes in Ukraine.

Monadic Intuitionistic and Modal Logics Admitting Provability Interpretations.Guram Bezhanishvili, Kristina Brantley & Julia Ilin - 2023 - Journal of Symbolic Logic 88 (1):427-467.
The Gödel translation provides an embedding of the intuitionistic logic$\mathsf {IPC}$into the modal logic$\mathsf {Grz}$, which then embeds into the modal logic$\mathsf {GL}$via the splitting translation. Combined with Solovay’s theorem that$\mathsf {GL}$is the modal logic of the provability predicate of Peano Arithmetic$\mathsf {PA}$, both$\mathsf {IPC}$and$\mathsf {Grz}$admit provability interpretations. When attempting to ‘lift’ these results to the monadic extensions$\mathsf {MIPC}$,$\mathsf {MGrz}$, and$\mathsf {MGL}$of these logics, the same techniques no longer work. Following a conjecture made by Esakia, we add an appropriate version (...)

    Cofinal Stable Logics.Guram Bezhanishvili, Nick Bezhanishvili & Julia Ilin - 2016 - Studia Logica 104 (6):1287-1317.
We generalize the \}\)-canonical formulas to \}\)-canonical rules, and prove that each intuitionistic multi-conclusion consequence relation is axiomatizable by \}\)-canonical rules. This yields a convenient characterization of stable superintuitionistic logics. The \}\)-canonical formulas are analogues of the \}\)-canonical formulas, which are the algebraic counterpart of Zakharyaschev’s canonical formulas for superintuitionistic logics. Consequently, stable si-logics are analogues of subframe si-logics. We introduce cofinal stable intuitionistic multi-conclusion consequence relations and cofinal stable si-logics, thus answering the question of what the analogues of cofinal (...)

Occult manifestations of history have changed throughout history and at various stages of culture have entered into complex relationships with science, philosophy, religion, and art. In our time, occultism has found the resources for its existence and development in some non-traditional fields. The factors of growing interest in the occult are now: the commercialization of all walks of life; pluralisation of public opinion; tolerance and political correctness, which they spread to reduce various confrontations in society. Ukraine's development in its perspective is mainly related to the promotion to Europe. We strive to transform ourselves to European standards. It requires a tolerant attitude towards unconventional religions, respect for dissent, protection of non-denominational beliefs and various non-traditional communities. We are also affected by globalization processes, which create in Ukraine new powerful organizational, technical and financial capabilities to create or borrow new beliefs - both with information disseminated through global communications and banking networks and with immigrants more people come (...)

Globalization and interconfessional communications.Serhii Viktorovych Svystunov - 2001 - Ukrainian Religious Studies 20:13-17.

Finding the Tipping Point: When Heterogeneous Evaluations in Social Media Converge and Influence Organizational Legitimacy.Katia Meggiorin, Michael Etter, Elanor Colleoni & Laura Illia - 2023 - Business and Society 62 (1):117-150.
Can citizens impact the broader discourse about an organization and its legitimacy? Although social media evaluations do not initially (...)
